Baseball Recap: Quitman Panthers vs. Stringer Red Devils
Quitman was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 12-5 to the Stringer Red Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Red Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-2 last Friday.

Daniel Peters was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-3. Quitman is 3-1 when Peters posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Brenton McKenzie, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Quitman's record now sits at 7-6. As for Stringer, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quitman will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Forest at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. As for Stringer, they will take on Southeast Lauderdale in a tournament on Monday.
