Softball Recap: High Point Takes a Loss

High Point fell victim to Pope John XXIII and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against Pope John XXIII, falling 10-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Wildcats have suffered since May 31, 2024.

High Point saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Joelle Lucatorto, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

High Point's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Pope John XXIII, they pushed their record up to 8-3 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, High Point and Pope John XXIII will both be playing Randolph the next time they take the field. The Wildcats will host the Rams at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, while Pope John XXIII will host them at 4:00 p.m. on May 6.
