Hampton Park Christian had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 3-0 to the First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest Crusaders. Hampton Park Christian hasn't had much luck with First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-8, 25-9.

Hampton Park Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Asheville School (Independent) at 3:15 p.m. on September 12. As for First Presbyterian Academy at Shannon Forest, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Cambridge Academy on the 19th.
