Abington Heights hasn't had much luck against Dallas recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Abington Heights Comets will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against the Dallas Mountaineers at 7:00 p.m. Abington Heights will be strutting in after a win while Dallas will be coming in after a defeat.

Abington Heights' defense heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 42-0 victory over West Scranton at home. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Comets had established a 35 point advantage.

Dominic Vergnetti had a dynamite game for Abington Heights, rushing for 72 yards and two touchdowns.

Meanwhile, Dallas came up short against Wyoming Area on Friday and fell 49-41.

The win got Abington Heights back to even at 1-1. As for Dallas, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 0-2.
