Volleyball Game Preview: Foothill Cougars vs. Orland Trojans

The Foothill Cougars are taking a road trip to challenge the Orland Trojans at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Foothill came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to Chico.

While Foothill ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Orland was not able to break out of their rough patch two weeks ago as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Pleasant Valley.

Foothill has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season. As for Orland, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Foothill's way against Orland in their previous matchup back in March, as Foothill made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
