Baseball Recap: Ware Starts off Right with Win over Granby

Ware had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Granby Rams a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but the Indians sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row dating back to last season.

Kyle Kaczuwka was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Jason Mumper, who scored two runs and stole two bases.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Ware will challenge Monument Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Granby, they will head out to challenge Mount Greylock Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
