Basketball Recap: Okawville Now 10-2 over Last 12 Games

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Okawville walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Elverado Falcons with a sharp 63-39 victory on Monday. Given the Rockets' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 281st, while the Falcons are ranked 696th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Okawville has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-15 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points over those games. Elverado is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-16.

As of now, neither Okawville nor Elverado have any future games scheduled.
