Recap: Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles vs. Hagerstown Tigers
The Cambridge City Lincoln Golden Eagles scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hagerstown 50-47. The win was some much needed relief for Cambridge City Lincoln as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Hagerstown's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kasiti Ferriell, who scored 14 points along with five steals. Ferriell scored a full 29.8% of Hagerstown's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Elly Cheeseman was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Cambridge City Lincoln's victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-12. As for Hagerstown, they bumped their record down to 0-16 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cambridge City Lincoln will take on Knightstown at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hagerstown, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Franklin County at 7:30 p.m.
