Raigan McCalla leads Flint Hill to victory over Holton-Arms

The Flint Hill Huskies had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Monday. They skirted past Holton-Arms 37-34. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Flint Hill has scored all year.

It was another big night for Raigan McCalla, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. The contest was her sixth in a row with at least ten points. Lynette Doku was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 11 rebounds.

Flint Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Holton-Arms, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Flint Hill will face off against Bullis at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Holton-Arms won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Madeira at 5:45 p.m. on December 12th. Madeira will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 197th in Virginia, while Holton-Arms is ranked 13th in Maryland).
