Football Recap: Manchester Regional Comes Up Short

Manchester Regional was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 27-21 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cresskill Cougars.

Cresskill's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jake Lewin, who threw for 253 yards and three TDs while completing 84.6% of his passes. Joey Connelly was in the mix as well, providing the Cougars with two scores.

Manchester Regional's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Cresskill, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Manchester Regional will take on rival Glen Rock at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Cresskill is set to square off against their familiar foe Rutherford at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
