Football Game Preview: Christian Patriots vs. St. Augustine Saints + How To Watch

The Christian Patriots will venture away from home to take on the St. Augustine Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Christian will be strutting in after a victory while St. Augustine will be coming in after a defeat.

Christian took a 37-point loss the last time they faced off against Scripps Ranch, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. In a tight game that could have gone either way, the Patriots made off with a 16-15 win over the Falcons. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Patriots as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

A big part of Christian's win came down to the chemistry between Kaleb Runkle and his top target Kai Rosier. Runkle threw for 171 yards and one touchdown while Rosier picked up 86 receiving yards and one score. Christian also relied on Rosier, who's 51-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.

Meanwhile, St. Augustine fell victim to San Diego and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Cavers, falling 31-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Saints were not able to get on the board.

Christian's victory bumped their record up to 2-5. As for St. Augustine, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-5.
