Basketball Recap: Linfield Christian Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Linfield Christian had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They managed a 47-42 win over the Aquinas Falcons on Monday. For the Lions, this counts as revenge for the 57-48 victory the Falcons walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2024.

Linfield Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Crawford led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds. Crawford's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Julius Brower, who posted 12 points and seven assists.

Despite the loss, Aquinas still got an impressive performance from Vincent Warsaw, who went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points. Malachi Jones was another key player, putting up six points and 14 boards.

Linfield Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-12. As for Aquinas, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Ontario Christian the next time they take the court. Aquinas will host Ontario Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Linfield Christian will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
