Baseball Game Preview: Wes-Del Warriors vs. Cowan Blackhawks

The Wes-Del Warriors will take on the Cowan Blackhawks at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wes-Del is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Wes-Del couldn't beat Shenandoah on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Warriors came up short against the Raiders, falling 14-4. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Cowan couldn't beat Frankton on Saturday even though they stacked four runs on them in the sixth inning. The Blackhawks lost 16-6 to the Eagles.

Jaydon Auker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jacob Unger, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Wes-Del's defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Cowan, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Wes-Del might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Cowan in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
