Soccer Game Recap: Bennington vs. South Sioux City

Bennington had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Their defense stepped up to hand the South Sioux City Cardinals a 2-0 shutout on Saturday. Beau Pick had to tread lightly for part of the match after he was hit with a yellow card, but that was the only trouble Bennington got from the refs.

Pick and Austin Kaiser scored both of Bennington's goals, which were season-firsts for both players.

Bennington wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next match, an 8-3 win against Gross Catholic on the 22nd. As for South Sioux City, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Scotus on the 22nd.
