Softball Recap: Wednesday's Win Is Weehawken's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Weehawken barely beat Lakeland Regional the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians blew past the Lancers 8-2 on Wednesday. The Indians might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six runs or more this season.

Weehawken is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Lakeland Regional, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Weehawken will welcome North Arlington at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Vikings at the right time seeing as the Vikings are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lakeland Regional, they will challenge Wayne Valley at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
