Volleyball Recap: Stratford's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

Stratford can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Harding Presidents. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Stratford had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 16-25, 25-14, 25-18, 25-21.

Stratford had a senior duo take command as Sophie DeLise had nine digs and three aces and Olivia North had six digs and four aces.

Stratford was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in four consecutive matches.

Stratford's victory bumped their record up to 4-7. As for Harding, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Stratford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Notre Dame Prep on the 4th. Hopefully Harding paid attention to the Red Devils' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on the 13th.
