Basketball Game Preview: Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs vs. Deltona Wolves

Two dominant guards in Anthony Hampton and Xavier Cerrud are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs and the Deltona Wolves will face off at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Flagler Palm Coast's tournament run continued when they took on Eau Gallie on Friday. Flagler Palm Coast enjoyed a cozy 56-42 victory over Eau Gallie.

Meanwhile, 2025 welcomed Deltona with an 83-62 loss courtesy of Legacy Charter on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 555th, while the Eagles are ranked 218th).

Deltona has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Flagler Palm Coast, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

Flagler Palm Coast didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Deltona when the teams last played back in January of 2021, but they still walked away with a 67-61 victory. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Deltona's Jude Santana, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Saturday, will it be easier for Flagler Palm Coast to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
