Basketball Recap: Whitnall Takes a Loss

Whitnall came up into this matchup off a tough 21-point loss last Saturday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Wisconsin Lutheran Vikings by a score of 69-67 on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (55), the Falcons still had to take the loss.

This is the second loss in a row for Whitnall and nudges their season record down to 3-3. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Whitnall won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Kimberly at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Whitnall knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Kimberly likes a good challenge. As for Wisconsin Lutheran, they will be home for the holidays to greet New Berlin Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
