Baseball Recap: Aptos Takes a Loss

After soaring to 15 runs the game before, Aptos was a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They took a 4-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Soquel Knights. The defeat continues a trend for the Mariners in their meetings with the Knights: they've now lost four in a row.

Aptos saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Damien Espinoza, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Aptos' loss dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Soquel, the victory (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 23-1.

Aptos has already played their next contest, a 9-2 defeat against Santa Cruz on the 13th. As for Soquel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-2 win against Harbor on the 13th.
