Basketball Recap: Sweet Water Takes a Loss

Sweet Water was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 56-1 loss at the hands of the Shields Panthers. The matchup marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Sweet Water's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Shields, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sweet Water and Millry will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday without much rest having both just played. As for Shields, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marengo at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marengo's defense has only allowed 27.4 points per game this season, so Shields' offense will have their work cut out for them.
