Volleyball Recap: Lane Tech Comes Up Short

Lane Tech lost against DePaul College Prep back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Champions fell just short of the Rams by a score of 2-1. The Champions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Lane Tech sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-19.

Sophia Polec paced Lane Tech's offense, picking up eight kills. Polec got some help from Amelie Patterson and her 12 assists. Colette Heneghan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Lane Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for DePaul College Prep, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Lane Tech will be taking part in a tournament against New Trier at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for DePaul College Prep, they will challenge Thornton Fractional North at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
