Softball Recap: Lynden Christian Drops Highest Score of Season Against Meridian

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lynden Christian). They never let the Meridian Trojans get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory on Thursday. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Lyncs with their most commanding win of the season.

Lynden Christian pushed their record up to 8-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Meridian, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Lynden Christian is set to challenge their familiar foe Oak Harbor at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Meridian will face off against rival Nooksack Valley at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
