After having lost a blowout in their previous game against North Port, South Fort Myers was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the East Lee County Jaguars. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Wolfpack as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-18, 16-25, 25-11.

Layla Santiago paced South Fort Myers' offense, picking up nine kills. Santiago got some help from Jerzi Nace and her 20 assists. Nace was also solid from the service line: she led the team with 12 aces.

South Fort Myers picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-6. As for East Lee County, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Fort Myers will square off against Palmetto Ridge at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for East Lee County, they will head out to face off against Lehigh at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
