Softball Recap: Seattle Prep Comes Up Short

Seattle Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 9-1 to the Roosevelt Roughriders. The Panthers were not able to make up for their loss to the Roughriders from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Hayden Downer made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Libby Jenness, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one stolen base.

Seattle Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Roosevelt, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Seattle Prep is set to face off against their familiar foe Ballard at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Roosevelt will square off against rival Bishop Blanchet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
