Basketball Recap: Dawson Sims Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Trinity Christian

Windsor Academy hadn't done well against Trinity Christian recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Knights walked away with a 59-46 win over the Crusaders. This was a revenge game for the Knights: when they faced off against the Crusaders last Tuesday, they had to take a 70-66 defeat.

Windsor Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dawson Sims, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sims a new career-high in steals (four). Another player making a difference was Greg Brooks, who dropped a double-double with 13 points and 14 boards.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jagger George, who posted 20 points. That was a full 43.5% of Trinity Christian's points, marking the tenth time in a row George has put up more than a third of the team's points. Will Foskey was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

Windsor Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for Trinity Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 12 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-13 record this season.
