While Holcomb's victory against Bernie wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Hornets narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Mules 16-15. Winning may never get old, but the Hornets sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Holcomb's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-6. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 17.7 runs over those games. As for Bernie, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 19-5.

Holcomb didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 21-2 victory against North Pemiscot on the 18th. As for Bernie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-7 win against Scott City on the 21st.
