Recap: Center Hill Mustangs vs. Olive Branch Conquistadors
The Center Hill Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Olive Branch on Tuesday as Center Hill made off with a 68-47 win. The victory was just what Center Hill needed coming off of a 89-62 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Madison Hughes, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Zarria Shipp, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Center Hill's win bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Olive Branch, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.
Center Hill will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Cormorant at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake Cormorant will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Olive Branch, they will head out on the road to face off against Saltillo at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Saltillo: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Olive Branch has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.
