Gilbert's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Avery Campbell, who scored six points along with 12 rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Blythe Price, who scored six points along with seven steals and six rebounds.
Orangeburg-Wilkinson's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-3. As for Gilbert, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Everything went Orangeburg-Wilkinson's way against Gilbert when the teams last played back in January of 2023 as Orangeburg-Wilkinson made off with a 50-24 victory. With Orangeburg-Wilkinson ahead 30-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
