Triad got themselves on the board against Civic Memorial on Monday, but Civic Memorial never followed suit. They had just enough and edged out the Eagles 1-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-3 back in April.

The win made it two in a row for Triad and bumps their season record up to 18-11. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2 run in those games. As for Civic Memorial, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 14 of their last 16 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season.

Triad will square off against Mascoutah at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Knights 2.8, the Indians 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Civic Memorial, they will welcome Roxana at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Shells have averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
