Baseball Recap: Fowlerville Wins Going Away Against Holt

Fowlerville had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Holt on Thursday. The Gladiators blew past the Rams 9-1. The Gladiators not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9th (when they won 10-0).

Geoff Bickley looked comfortable as he tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Erik Helminen was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Wyatt Soli, who went 1-for-3 with three runs and one stolen base.

Fowlerville's victory bumped their record up to 9-18. As for Holt, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

As of now, neither Fowlerville nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
