Basketball Recap: Manchester Gets the Win

Manchester won the last time they faced Trion and things went their way on Friday too. The Blue Devils came out on top against the Bulldogs by a score of 54-43 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

Despite the defeat, Trion saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ayla Sanford posted 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Nicholson, who put up eight points.

Manchester now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Trion, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Manchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Trion, they will take on Wilcox County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their 16th straight win, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
