Basketball Recap: Round Rock Takes a Loss

Round Rock has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 56-45 to the Fort Bend Clements Rangers on Friday. The Dragons were not able to make up for their loss to the Rangers from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.

Fort Bend Clements' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Aziz Olajuwon led the charge by going 8 of 14 on his way to 23 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Keshav Vijaykumar, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 15 points.

Round Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 16-5. As for Fort Bend Clements, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season.

Round Rock has already played their next game, a 70-62 loss against Plano West on the 28th. As for Fort Bend Clements, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-19 victory against Anderson on the 28th.
