Baseball Recap: Le Mars Takes a Loss

After soaring to 16 runs the game before, Le Mars was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 13-1 to the Lewis Central Titans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in July of 2024.

Le Mars has also been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-29 record this season. As for Lewis Central, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Le Mars will challenge MOC-Floyd Valley on Friday. The Dutchmen will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lewis Central, they will be playing at home against Dallas Center-Grimes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Titans 2.9, the Mustangs 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
