Basketball Recap: Eastlake's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Eastlake won the last time they faced Hazen and things went their way on Friday too. The Eastlake Wolves strolled past the Hazen Highlanders with points to spare, taking the game 47-31. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Highlanders are ranked 323rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hazen's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Quincy Brown, who posted eight points and 12 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Hollander, who earned nine points.

Eastlake's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-2. As for Hazen, they are on a 12-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Eastlake wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-54 victory against Newport - Bellevue on the 17th. As for Hazen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 71-52 defeat against Lindbergh on the 14th.
