First Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Colquitt Christian Academy Cavaliers by a score of 51-43. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 48-44 defeat the last time these two teams met.

First Academy had a senior duo take command as Logan James posted 13 points and Jt Watkins scored 19 points.

Colquitt Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Coincidentally, First Academy and Colquitt Christian Academy will both be playing Byne Christian the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Saints at 8:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Cavaliers will host them at 7:00 p.m. on the 21st.
