Recap: Gadsden City Titans vs. Huffman Vikings
The Gadsden City Titans were the 49-35 winner over the Huffman Vikings when they last played one another back in December of 2016, but their luck changed this time around. Gadsden City was the victim of a rough 52-32 defeat at the hands of Huffman on Monday. While losing is never fun, Gadsden City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 160th, while Huffman is ranked 46th).
Despite the loss, Gadsden City had strong showings from Destiny Whiteside, who scored ten points, and Madison Tinker, who scored six points.
Gadsden City has been struggling recently, as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season. As for Huffman, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.
Gadsden City won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Jacksonville at 6:00 p.m. on December 12th. Hopefully Jacksonville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday. As for Huffman, they will be playing at home against Paul W. Bryant at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
