Baseball Game Preview: The Meadows School Mustangs vs. Pahrump Valley Trojans

The Meadows School Mustangs will take on the Pahrump Valley Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.

While The Meadows School's victory against Boulder City wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Mustangs won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 8-7. The Mustangs haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ethan Schneiderman was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Pahrump Valley posted their closest victory since March 12th on Monday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over Needles.

The team relied heavily on Aidyn Cratty, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Pahrump Valley has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for The Meadows School, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Wednesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. The Meadows School hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .322. However, it's not like Pahrump Valley struggles in that department as they've averaged .321. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

The Meadows School took their victory against Pahrump Valley in their previous matchup back in May of 2024 by a conclusive 12-3 score. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
