Football Game Preview: Strawberry Crest Chargers vs. Plant City Raiders + How To Watch

Strawberry Crest is 1-8 against Plant City since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Chargers will face off against the Raiders at 7:30 p.m. Plant City took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Strawberry Crest, who comes in off a win.

Strawberry Crest will bounce into Friday's contest after beating Newsome, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. The Chargers secured a 28-24 W over the Wolves last Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Chargers.

This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Zion Weems and Tre Feliciano. Weems rushed for 100 yards and one score while Feliciano rushed for 89 yards and one touchdown on only nine carries. That's the most rushing yards Weems has posted since back in September of 2024.

Strawberry Crest was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 235 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Newsome only rushed for 140.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Plant City's offense. They lost 24-0 to Lennard on Friday. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Strawberry Crest's record is now 5-1. As for Plant City, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Strawberry Crest was taken down by Plant City 41-6 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
