Basketball Recap: Fluvanna County Takes a Loss

After soaring to 59 points the game before, Fluvanna County was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a 55-22 loss at the hands of the Charlottesville Black Knights. While losing is never fun, the Flying Flucos can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while the Black Knights are ranked 41st).

Fluvanna County got a good chunk of their points from the dynamic duo of Sophie Brennan and Sienna Brennan, who each put up six points. Sophie also led the team in rebounds with nine.

Fluvanna County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Charlottesville, their victory was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fluvanna County will welcome Louisa County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Charlottesville, they will host Orange County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
