Football Recap: Concord-Carlisle Falls Short of Lincoln-Sudbury in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Concord-Carlisle can now relate to. They lost 27-7 to the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors on Friday. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Warriors recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Concord-Carlisle now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Concord-Carlisle and Lexington will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 6:00 p.m. on the 26th. The Patriots will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.25 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lincoln-Sudbury, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Newton South at 10:00 a.m. on the 27th.
