Basketball Recap: Albany/Monticello Triumphs

Albany/Monticello posted their closest victory since March 2, 2024 on Saturday. They never let the Madison East Purgolders onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. The two-point effort marked Albany/Monticello's lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Albany/Monticello's victory bumped their record up to 21-1. As for Madison East, they dropped their record down to 6-13 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Albany/Monticello will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Juda at 7:15 p.m. on February 20th. As for Madison East, they will take on Sun Prairie West at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
