Kewaskum is 6-1 against Ripon since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Indians are taking a road trip to face off against the Tigers at 4:45 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kewaskum has three straight victories, Ripon has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Kewaskum can't be too worried about heading out to take on Ripon: they just beat Waupun at home, who had been dominant on their own field up to that point. The Indians blew past the Warriors 9-1 on Monday. The Indians not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 8th (when they won 17-1).
Kingston Grisolono made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Grisolono was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Everett Donath, who went 4-for-5 with two runs and one RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in May of 2024. Andrew Reichert was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one run and one double.
Kewaskum kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Ripon duked it out with Plymouth on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-3.
Ripon saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dylan Martyna, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.
Kewaskum pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ripon, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.
Kewaskum skirted past Ripon 4-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Indians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
