Soccer Game Preview: Columbus vs. Reedsburg

The Columbus Cardinals will square off against the Reedsburg Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Columbus has given up an average of 4.2 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Columbus is headed into Thursday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 7-2 to Cambridge. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Columbus were already down 5-1.

Lio DeJesus wasn't going to let Cambridge walk away unscathed as he scored both of Columbus' goals, bringing his season total up to 14 goals.

Meanwhile, Reedsburg kept a clean sheet against Portage on Tuesday. They blew past the Warriors 5-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Reedsburg's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Columbus now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Reedsburg, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.
