Preview: Bethesda Christian Patriots vs. Cascade Cadets
Bethesda Christian has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Cascade Cadets at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Bethesda Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Thursday.
Even though Bethesda Christian has not done well against University recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. Bethesda Christian walked away with a 48-37 win over University.
It was another big night for Kenzie Fulks, who scored 24 points along with eight assists and six steals. She continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sydney Goodin, who scored 20 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Cascade had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 41 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-44 win over Brown County.
Bethesda Christian has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season. As for Cascade, they pushed their record up to 10-10 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Bethesda Christian might still be hurting after the 51-29 loss they got from Cascade when the teams last played back in January of 2023. Can Bethesda Christian avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
