Polytech is a perfect 6-0 against Woodbridge since April of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Raiders at 4:15 p.m. The timing is sure in Polytech's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Woodbridge has been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
On Tuesday, Polytech made easy work of Dover and carried off a 17-1 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

Polytech got a great performance from Riley Merritt as she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Those six strikeouts gave Merritt a new career-high.
At the plate, Marissa Hipkins was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Tenley Lord, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Polytech was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .607. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .312 or higher in seven consecutive contests.
Lake Forest hit Woodbridge with a five-run seventh inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders came up short against the Spartans, falling 9-1.
Woodbridge saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Hare, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Polytech's victory bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Woodbridge, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
Woodbridge's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Polytech hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .381. It's a different story for Woodbridge, though, as they've only averaged .206. Will they be able to contain Polytech's hitters?
Polytech skirted past Woodbridge 3-2 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
