Basketball Recap: The Living Water School Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

The Living Water School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 89-67 to the Lanham Christian Lions . Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Thursday (57), the The Storm still had to take the loss.

It was another big night for Dominic Carr, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 16 boards for Lanham Christian. Another player making a difference was Trey Ray, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.

The Living Water School's defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4. As for Lanham Christian, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. The Living Water School and Takoma Academy will round out the year against one another at at 6:30 p.m. on December 30th. One thing working in The Living Water School's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Lanham Christian, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Dunbar at 1:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025.
