Basketball Recap: Amite Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Amite and Northlake Christian squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Amite had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 55-37 to the Northlake Christian Wolverines. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wolverines apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.

Despite the loss, Amite still got an impressive performance from Curtissiyah Jenkins, who posted 21 points. Jenkins' morning made it nine games in a row in which she has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Alexcia Moore, who earned ten points.

Amite's loss dropped their record down to 12-17. As for Northlake Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-12 record this season.

As of now, neither Amite nor Northlake Christian have any future games scheduled.
