Basketball Game Preview: Colusa RedHawks vs. Anderson Cubs

The Colusa RedHawks will head out to face off against the Anderson Cubs at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Last Friday, Colusa came up short against Winters and fell 43-32.

Despite the loss, Colusa had strong showings from Jace MacKaben, who posted six points along with 13 boards and four steals, and Emi Guzman, who put up six points and four steals. Thanks to that strong game, Guzman now owns an excellent 46.2% shooting accuracy.

Even though they lost, Colusa smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Anderson came up short against Yreka on Friday, falling 62-40. The Cubs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Colusa's record is now 10-16. As for Anderson, their record now sits at 10-18.

Colusa strolled past Anderson in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 by a score of 60-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for Colusa since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
