Baseball Recap: Branson Gets the Win

The third road contest was the charm for Branson, as they earned their first away victory of the season. They skirted past the Albany Cougars 15-13. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bulls' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Holden Cane was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Charlie Osher also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Branson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Branson now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Albany, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Branson will square off against Stuart Hall at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulls' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 11.6 runs per game this season. As for Albany, they will host Archie Williams at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
