Basketball Recap: Whiteville Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Columbus on Tuesday, Whiteville came back down to earth. The Wolfpack took a hard 61-46 fall against the East Bladen Eagles on Friday. The Wolfpack haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

Whiteville's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for East Bladen, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

Whiteville will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Southeastern Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 6, 2026. East Bladen will take on Hobbton in a holiday battle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Eagles' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
